About

Amanda Taffy leads a multi-institutional research team on violence in New York City public housing and has conducted extensive advocacy, research, and writing on violence, mental health challenges, juvenile justice, and the arts.

Amanda holds a Doctorate and Master in Public Health and a Juris Doctor. She previously worked for the Appellate Division (MHLS), 2nd Department in New York. Amanda also served as the Director of Public Service & Social Justice for the Yale Alumni Association in New York and Co-Chaired the Public Service Committee and Juvenile Justice Reform Task Force. She loves spending time with family members, close friends, dogs, and horses, and avidly participates in long hikes, spinning, pilates, and riding.
