About
Nora Cahill is a dedicated policy professional passionate about housing, public finance, and transportation policy at the state and local levels. Before joining the Harvard Kennedy School, she found a passion for evidence-based policymaking at the Brookings Institution, where she did research on federal tax policy.
Throughout her time at HKS, Nora remained committed to research and applied her skills to working directly with local governments, completing research and policy projects for several local governments and nonprofits on housing, zoning policy, and innovation in public services.
She received her bachelor’s degree in economics from Bryn Mawr College and a Master in Public Policy, with a certificate in Management Leadership and Decision Sciences, from HKS. Originally from Wisconsin, Nora is always thrilled to get exciting cheese recommendations.
Initial Fellowship Focus: The fellow will re-energize the way in which partners in and outside of City Hall use data and collaborate to reduce homelessness. The fellow will also explore opportunities to deepen a shared understanding among partners about what problems residents experiencing homelessness are facing and to build an overarching strategy to address them.
