About

Jane Berrill recently completed a Master of Science in environmental health epidemiology at the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health. There she studied the intersection of climate change, urban health, environmental justice, and the built environment.

Before coming to Harvard, she worked as a research assistant with the Nurses’ Health Study 3 and the Growing Up Today Study. She holds a Bachelor of Arts from Amherst College, where she designed an interdisciplinary major bringing together political science, architecture, and art history to study cities and the public sphere. She enjoys painting, going to museums, figure drawing, rock climbing, bicycling, and playing board games.

Initial Fellowship Focus: The fellow, along with other city leaders, will work to foster a culture of data-driven operations through establishing effective data management policies, aligning data across departments, breaking down department silos, and developing data analytic capacities across the workforce. Ultimately, this work will help the city of Savannah leverage data to make decisions that improve residents’ lives.
