About
Alejandra Pardini is a Peruvian architect and designer committed to inclusive public spaces and community-driven design. With over six years of professional experience across Peru, Colombia, Italy, and the United States, her work amplifies the voices of marginalized communities, particularly within self-built settlements.
Alejandra recently completed her Master of Design Studies at the Harvard Graduate School of Design, with a focus on participatory engagement, urban policy, and gender equity. At Harvard, she served as co-chair of Latin GSD and collaborated with the Harvard Association of Peruvian Students to organize the first-ever Peru Conference at Harvard. Prior to her graduate studies, Alejandra significantly contributed to Peru’s National Program for Educational Infrastructure. Alejandra is also a founding member of ENCO, a social enterprise dedicated to developing off-grid solar energy solutions for self-built settlements. Through ENCO, she has driven innovative initiatives to improve access to essential public resources, demonstrating her commitment to sustainable development and equity.
Initial Fellowship Focus: The fellow will start by piloting new ways of working within departments most receptive to change to build momentum. Over time, the fellow will work with city leaders to develop clear processes and frameworks for scaling up innovation across departments and embed these capabilities in City Hall.
