About
Krizia Lopez is passionate about uplifting impoverished communities through government innovation and economic development. At the St. Louis Mayor’s Office, she is leading a multi-million dollar push to upgrade the city’s HR systems from paper to digital to speed up hiring. She is also developing the city’s overall workforce development strategy, including plans for building an advanced manufacturing and trades innovation district.
Krizia Lopez worked at Google for six years in international roles in Employment Marketing, Strategy & Operations, and Skills Training. She eventually managed the company’s flagship sales skills training academy across the Americas, Europe, and the Middle East.
Krizia earned a Master in Public Administration from the Harvard Kennedy School, where she served as editor-in-chief of the Kennedy School Review and received the Donald K. Price Award for leadership. She also worked as a research fellow for the Department of Labor and as a negotiation coach at the Harvard Center for Public Leadership and STEM Summer Academy. Prior to the Kennedy School, she led operations at a public school in New York City and founded a workforce development training program for low-income young adults. Krizia earned her BA cum laude from Columbia University and was a Fulbright Research Scholar researching public policy in Nicaragua. She speaks German, Spanish, and Chinese and comes from a multicultural family.
